Those who don’t pursue the profession of journalist as their main, permanent and gainful occupation but have a role as editors of the informative sector of a news outlet are required to hold a specific ID card, in order to have access to information.

The holders of this equivalent to journalist ID card must abide the same ethical norms that journalists do, as well as being subject to the same incompatibilities.

Granting and renewing

The equivalent to journalist ID card must be applied for when the applicant begins that activity. It is valid for two years from the moment it is granted and its renewing is mandatory.

The renewing is submitted by the applicant in the month prior to the card expiry.

The applications for granting and renewing the professional licenses can be directly submitted online via the Private Area.
